Soul Midwives lovingly ease the passage of the dying, to ensure that death is a dignified and peaceful experience.
Felicity, mother of the Soul Midwives movement, has trained many people, both men and women, in her gentle methods which are helping to soothe the dying and bring a new dimension to how we care for everyone at the end of life. To hear her speaking about her work on Channel 5 News click here.
Her award winning courses have been running for over 20 years.
In 2017, Felicity was named End of Life Care Champion by the National Council for Palliative Care at the House of Lords. She was also named End of Life Doula of the Year in 2017 by the Good Funeral awards and was named one of the year’s Most Inspirational Women of the Year by the Daily Mail.

Soul Midwives regard every dying person as if he, or she, is the most important person in the world.
They offer a range of gentle therapies to soothe and reassure and are skilled advocates and advisors.
They are non-denominational in their pastoral support, encouraging deep conversation, with love and dignity.
Their work may begin from point of diagnosis and continue until the final day of life, with encouragement and support for living life fully, until the end.
Soul Midwives are helping to transform the personal and collective experiences of dying and living within the community, by helping anyone facing the end of life to experience a tender, peaceful and conscious death.
We help many people to support their dying loved one by offering holistic and spiritual support, and receive no funding for our work. Our free referral service runs 365 days a year and we aim to put people in touch with a Soul Midwife in their area, or give advice within 48 hours.
Perhaps we have already helped you or your family or a friend?

As a response to the COVID-19 crisis, we are launching a free telephone support network across the UK. If you are caring for a loved one or friend or facing the end of life, you can call us, confidentially and speak to a qualified Soul Midwife.
To access this support please contact us through the website including SOS in your message. We will get back to you within 24 hours and in most cases sooner.
We are also partnering other community initiatives and will give more details of these soon, via this website, and our Facebook page and newsletter. And we’ll be posting free downloads and resources for you, via the website, to help you care not only for loved ones, but also for yourself.
Our teaching continues. We are re-designing some of our courses to include virtual teaching with a combination of distance learning. Some of our face -to- face courses will be re-scheduled. If you are booked to attend one of our training courses, we will be contacting you shortly, to let you know about any changes and dates.
We need more Soul Midwives than ever. If you would like to train, you can start immediately by enrolling on our acclaimed Distance Learning programme. It’s a perfect opportunity if you are self isolating as you’ll study at home, at a pace and time to suit you, with personal mentoring throughout. Please see the Distance Learning pages on the website for information.
Remember you are not alone and we will all get through this together. Thank you for all your messages of kindness and goodwill so far.
With love and best wishes.
